The Amazon Conservation Team collaborates with indigenous and other local communities to co-create and realize new methods of conservation that honor the interdependent relationship of the forest and its peoples — and protect both. ACT allows us to learn about the culture, geography, and history of Amazonian rainforest communities — and the environmental and political threats which they face — through the works of map-driven digital storytelling such as ESRI story maps, created by the Amazon Conservation Team.
