WildCRU, part of the University of Oxford's Department of Zoology, is a renowned conservation research institute founded by Professor David Macdonald. It bridges the gap between academic theory and practical problem-solving to address the global biodiversity crisis. With over 50 researchers from 30 countries, WildCRU conducts projects worldwide, focusing on wild carnivores and aiming to become a leading center for felid conservation research. Based at the Recanati-Kaplan Centre, their work is supported by experienced conservation biologists, doctoral students, field assistants, volunteers, and collaborations with organizations like Panthera.
