Have you seen these two RGS Geo-technologies for field research workshops?
Open source GIS and field monitoring with Arduino
Open source remote sensing and GPS for fieldwork
Every year I see these workshops come up and they look fantastic, but I can’t really justify the time/cost on account of their beginner-level focus. Something along similar lines but pitched at more advanced or intermediate GIS users and developers would be very beneficial. I've spoken with the RGS about this and they're receptive to ideas, so I'm pitching the question to the WILDLABS.NET Community:
What would you like to see in an advanced or intermediate GIS users course?

Thanks for the update, @joelm . I wonder why they were cancelled - lack of uptake or something else? I'll see what I can find out.
