How do we develop digital technologies in ways which bring out the best in our humanity? How, meanwhile, do we repair our relationship with the natural world?

In this session, we will explore the intersection of these two questions, so often treated as separate. In which ways can our gadgets, social platforms and breakthroughs in AI help us to care for the natural world? How can we converse with nature and appreciate an intelligence greater than our own? Can technology serve us in shifting our mindsets from ‘ego’ to ‘eco’?

Join us and share your thoughts about these issues as Dan Nixon (Perspectiva) is joined in conversation by Jeremy Lent and Bonnitta Roy.

Jeremy Lent is author of The Patterning Instinct and (forthcoming) The Web of Meaning and the founder of The Liology Institute. The environmentalist, George Monbiot, calls him “one of the greatest thinkers of our age.". Bonnitta Roy is an author and insight guide, and teaches a masters course in consciousness studies and transpersonal psychology at the Graduate Institute. Her essay on ‘digital naturalism’ can be read here.

The event is part of a series of events exploring expert perspectives on human growth and flourishing in our digital age. Learn more about the Digital Ego Project here.
