Whale Seeker works to build whale detection tools such as Artificial Intelligence tools used to process and analyze aerial images to inform the monitoring of marine mammals, especially whales. The team has developed a tool known as Möbius,that is able to integrate human and machine judgments in one tool, allowing for huge gains in efficiency without sacrificing reliability. Aerial images are sent to the team, then Möbius is used to process the imagery and annotated images are then sent back to the user who tis now able to make appropriate decisions from it.
