The Biodiversity Finance Initiative ( BIOFIN, a UNDP initiative ) launched a database with over 330 public and private funding opportunities. It includes not just grants, but also loans, guarantees, equity and other types of funding.
- It has filters for funding type, target countries and regions, eligible organizations, project size range, ecosystem, biodiversity categories, application language, and more.
- Although it provides the information on the funding procedure, one can not filter on that. So in order to know which calls are indeed open or which sources are continuously open for applications, one may still need to do some browsing.
It does have the possibility to filter on 'Particular consideration of', which can be gender, local communities, indigenous people and youth.
