Ocean Science Analytics recently launched an ocean-focused course for those interested in learning how to use the open access geospatial tool, QGIS!

QGIS Essentials for Marine Science Professionals is an online, self-paced training course designed in the context of marine science. It’s perfect for individuals who are new to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or those familiar with GIS but new to QGIS. The course covers essential techniques for analyzing, visualizing, and managing ocean data using QGIS, making it an excellent resource for anyone looking to apply GIS tools in ocean science and conservation.

The course offers 30 days of access from the time of registration, allowing participants to learn at their own pace with access to expert support and feedback throughout the training. QGIS Essentials is recognized as a continuing professional development course by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science, and Technology.
