Data management & QA/QC guidelines?

Wondering if anyone here has come across good guidance/frameworks/best practices/etc. for baseline conservation data management (beyond within platforms like SMART and Earthranger). We (and I suspect many others) often work with folks who are in the process of digital transitions (moving from handwritten observations to digitized records) but then often end up with lots of different excel files, formatting, etc. We've articulated some good practices from our experience but it would be great if there were fully outlined guidance docs to pass along as well.

Similar but related ask -- if anyone has recs for tools that help with digitizing LOTS of handwritten observations/notes, that would be great! Curious if folks have used LLM tools for this, e.g., by taking pics of the pages and then having an LLM digitize and export into an excel or something.

Thanks very much!
