Hi AI for Conservation!
I'm exploring development of an "MLOps" workflow infrastructure project to help advance pose estimation workflows for wildlife monitoring & behavioral research, with a particular focus to make related tools more integrated and accessible to interested researchers.
I've been discovering and researching lots of awesome tools and papers to support the development of this project (Superanimal and the DLC model zoo, SimBA from the UW Golden Lab, many more), but I didn't see many threads/discussion of pose estimation here on WildLabs.
I very likely may have missed them, but I thought it couldn't hurt to post and ask for interested feedback and recommended resources, so:
Are you interested in, or working on, pose estimation workflows for wildlife monitoring & behavioral research?
If so, what tools have you found to be most effective?
Appreciate your time and thanks in advance for any replies!
Best,
Stephen

A collaborator used the SLEAP model, which seems fairly user friendly. I'm interested to hear what other people are using for this as well! I'd like to incorporate this into monitoring efforts in the future as well.
