Seeking connections at the edge of the world.
Hi Community! I have recently relocated my life and off-grid mobile home/studio to the Magallanes Region in Southern Chile. My connection here is deeply personal; I grew up fascinated by the slides my father took while conducting scientific research in Antarctica during the 1970s. That "end of the world" legacy has stayed with me ever since.
I’m looking to meet local professionals, conservationists, and entrepreneurs to understand the landscape and share the vision I’m bringing to this region.
I believe the conversation about our relationship with the wild must expand beyond the scientific community. I use artistic expression and interactive design to bring these topics into new spaces.
I focus on bringing creative R&D to remote landscapes. Being able to prototype solutions directly on the ground has shown me incredible potential for innovation. I’m looking to replicate this model here in Magallanes, finding ways to improve wildlife conditions through technical and creative solutions.
For several years, I’ve been trying to merge the two worlds of conservation and creativity. I believe conservation impact can be maximized when approached with a multidisciplinary perspective, specifically from the creative R&D sphere. While these fields often meet for marketing purposes, I am interested in where they overlap for ground-level innovation. After my experience of 5 years with snow leopard conservation in Central Asia, I see Magallanes (Chile) as the ideal environment to prototype solutions that need to function in harsh, extreme conditions.
If you’re in the region, let’s connect! I’m looking for insights, "dos and don'ts," and new friends in the field. Suggestions for local hubs or must-meet people are more than welcome.
Let's have a chat, online or in person.
Thanks for your time!
