Hi all,
Arribada is hosting a Pre-Conference Workshop on the morning of 17th February at the ICTC so you can experiment with designing and assembling your own satellite wildlife tag! The registration form to attend is here: https://arribada.org/1-hour-to-space-register-to-join-this-workshop/
Each participant will get to unbox one of our Argos / Kineis satellite SMD kits, assemble a tag, connect a supporting sensor, and in under an hour(!), take the tags outside to transmit to passing Kineis satellites as a demo of what's possible using new open source satellite hardware.
More information is available on the official conference agenda page too. Places are limited to 10 - 12 people.
Hope to see you there

That's amazing! Unfortunately I'll miss the event. Any chance if something like this is recorded for remote participants.

Did not make it to the conference, but this is a topic of interest. Will keep an eye out for future workshops announcements.
It looks like the hardware is reasonably priced. Can you give a sense of what the connectivity costs are?
