Global Conservation Tech & Drone Forum 2-6 March. Women in Conservation Forum 2 March.
Hello all!
I am the lead organiser of the Women in Conservation Forum (WiCF) day, held at the Trademark Hotel in Gigiri, Nairobi, Kenya, on Monday, 2nd March 2026. https://www.gctdf.org/womens-conservation-forum
I am posting to announce that our submission portal for women to express interest in speaking or leading a workshop is now live!
https://forms.gle/MgsLb9DX3Samt3HcA
The form above asks you to briefly describe your professional interests and describe what type of talk or workshop idea you have.
Mentor Program option: As a speaker or workshop leader, you can also volunteer to be a Mentor for the WiCF day. This means you will have a sticker on your name badge, and attendees are free to ask you professional questions and for advice. This is all about having a conversation and sharing wisdom!
Our program so far includes:
- 08:00 – 09:00 – Registration open and arrival coffee
- 09:00 – 09:15 – Welcome and opening remarks
- Event overview, housekeeping, and orientation for workshops
- 09:15 – 10:30 – Parallel workshop 1 (multiple rooms)
- 10:30 – 11:00 – Coffee break and networking
- 11:00 – 12:00 – Parallel workshop 2 (multiple rooms)
- 12:00 – 13:30 – Welcome Lunch, keynote, and networking

We will be reviewing all proposals over the coming weeks to shape a balanced program that reflects a range of voices, experience levels, and practical perspectives. If your proposal is shortlisted, we’ll be in touch to discuss next steps and any finer details. In the meantime, thank you again for taking the time to share your ideas and for your interest in being part of WiCF.
I would just like to state that WiCF is designed to be a safe, welcoming, open space for women to celebrate. discuss and share experiences in conservation. While male allies are very welcome, the speaker and panellist positions and workshop leaders are reserved for women speakers.
WiCF intends to foster group learning in an energetic and inspiring environment!
Please feel free to email me with any questions or suggestions, or if you are interested in volunteering for WiCF.
Many thanks,
Have a great day,
