Women in Conservation Forum, Nairobi, 2nd March 2026

Hello all,

Happy New Year!

Two months to go until the Women in Conservation Forum (WiCF).

WiCF will take place on 2 March 2026 in Nairobi and will open the Global Conservation Tech & Drone Forum (GCTDF 2026) week, leading directly into World Wildlife Day on 3 March.

WiCF is a one-day forum focused on women leading conservation, data, technology, drones, ecology and community-based work across Africa and beyond. The emphasis is on practical experience, skill-sharing, mentoring and building connections that support real conservation outcomes.

For the Women in Conservation Tech Programme (WiCT) community, WiCF is intended as a complementary space to connect across disciplines and career stages, share lessons learned, and help shape future collaboration around conservation technology and data.

As we move into programme finalisation, the next WiCF coordination and planning calls will be held on:
* 8 January – Americas time zones
* 9 January – Rest of World

If you’d like to join the planning calls or be involved in WiCF, please send a direct message to the lead organiser:

We’d love to hear from women and allies across conservation, data, technology and community-based practice who want to be involved.

I am really excited about this event and pleased to be able to support it through the www.GCTDF.org. Well done, @MacayleGuerin
