Gulf of America Dead Zone Restoration

Hello all,

I’ve recently become aware of the Gulf of Mexico Dead Zone, a 6,500-square-mile hypoxic area caused by agricultural runoff from 32 states via the Mississippi River. This zone is not only an ecological disaster—it represents a massive lost economic opportunity.

In response, I’ve developed a regenerative, circular model rooted in hemp farming, biochar production, aquaculture, and community-owned capital flows. The goal is to:

  • Eliminate upstream runoff through soil regeneration.
  • Create biochar and battery-grade carbon from hemp.
  • Restore marine ecosystems via sustainable aquaculture.
  • Unite Midwest farms and Gulf communities in a shared economic value chain.

We’re now seeking collaborators across agriculture, marine science, circular manufacturing, and regenerative finance.

This is part of the Most Important Plans for the Planet Collaborative, and we believe it can serve as a global model.

Hi WILDLABS Community! I have started mapping the project for the Gulf of America Dead Zone and here are some photos of the progress.

In the last picture, I have included WILDLABS entities at random and I will be mapping them to the industry collaborators we are seeking.

I hope to have any interested parties please reach out and if you'd like to contribute your technology, wisdom, or just follow along, I appreciate it! Thank you
