Suggestions for finding event funding (for GOSH)?

Passing along a question from the Gathering for Open Science Hardware, asking about sources of funding to support in-person events: 

The Gathering for Open Science Hardware (GOSH) is looking for potential funding sources for our next in-person gathering planned for 2026. We need funding that can support:

  1. Logistics (venue hire, local support)
  2. Communication & media production
  3. Travel grants for participants

Can you suggest possible funding sources that we could investigate?

Some members of WILDLABS are also active in GOSH, so I'm posting the question here, and happy to pass along any answers.

Also, this thread could serve as a resource for those in the future who want to organise in-person events!
