Hi,
Wondering if anyone on this board has experience with the fickleness of DFPlayer Minis?
I'm using a DFP Mini and ESP32 for some playback experiments and need the speakers to be playing a particular treatment autonomously for a month. Each treatment has 10 tracks that it cycles through repeatedly for a month. There is 1.5x silence (calculated based on previous track length) that is programmed to follow each track.
I’m having some trouble with the DFP Mini breaking a loop in an intermittent fashion. It cycles through the 10 tracks successfully many times over; however after a certain number of loops (different every time, could play for 3, 14, 24 minutes, etc.) it will inevitably turn itself off and cease to loop. Mixing up the track order, changes the track that breaks the loop and the position in the loop that breaks; but for each individual track permutation, the track and location of the break is consistent. I’m using 1-2 second tracks of me saying the numbers 1-10 for this testing. Not sure if this is a software, hardware, or audio track issue, but if anyone who has worked with these Minis before has some troubleshooting ideas, I'd be all ears.
Mike
