Update on Richard Turere, inventor of 'Lion lights'

Does anyone remember the 11-year-old Masaai boy who invented 'Lion Lights' as a solution to stop lions from killing his livestock? It's been almost five years since Richard Turere's tech innovation became a global success, so BBC returned to Kenya to find out what's happened since his brief window of recognition. Check out the video here for a reminder of where this innovative idea came from. I'm curious to know if anyone has heard of this system or similar tech in use over the past few years, and if Richard was recognized in those efforts.
