Spectrolipi is a tool for visualizing sound, annotating spectrograms, and exporting ML‑ready acoustic datasets.

Spectrolipi V2.0.0 is released now. Main new features are listed below. New Magic wand tool may be very helpful while creating annotations. 

• Modern and compact layout.
• New zoom controls on Y axis (Please read help).
• Recent species list (floating) - contains last 10 species. User can click to select a species from the list for annotation.
• Magic wand tool - Click on desired area on the spectrogram and this tool suggests the box automatically as per the acoustic energy near it  (Please read help).
• Stamp tool - Help edit the sound. Select the tool. Create a box around the noise area. Move the box to the area with clear background. The noise area gets replaced with clear background.
• Annotation grid table - option to Save or upload annotation files.
• Spectrolipi settings - Default species format (Common / Scientific).
• Spectrolipi settings - Annotation mode selection: Time-Frequency (Boxes) or Temporal (Intervals)
• Spectrolipi settings - Turn on Recent species list
• Help documentation.
