Starting in July 2025, I @ahmedjunaid (SAVE THE FROGS! & Save Reptiles) am happy to say that it has been a great journey alongside my fellow Co-Leaders of WILDLABS eDNA & Genomics Group. During this time, we connected with different eDNA experts and students, invited people to join the group and organized eDNA & Genomics events featuring experts from around the world who shared their knowledge and experiences in environmental DNA, biodiversity monitoring and conservation research.

Throughout this term, I learned a great deal from engaging with researchers and conservationists across different countries. The group provided an excellent platform to connect with global experts, exchange ideas and explore emerging tools and applications of eDNA in wildlife conservation. The online event in July 2026 was a great success, fostering learning, collaboration and networking among participants from diverse backgrounds.

WILDLABS eDNA & Genomics Group continues to serve as a valuable space for advancing knowledge, sharing experiences and building connections within the conservation community.
