We're excited to be co-organizing a special session at the upcoming Acoustical Society of America meeting, together with colleagues from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology:
From Detections to Ecological Insights: Quantitative Methods in Bioacoustics
The session will focus on methods that help turn acoustic detections into meaningful ecological insights, including abundance estimation, population dynamics, multimodal AI, uncertainty quantification, and reproducible approaches.
If you are planning to attend ASA and are working on a related topic, we'd love to hear from you. Please consider submitting an abstract, or reach out to me at [email protected] or to my colleague Connor Wood at c[email protected] if you would like to chat about whether your work could be a good fit.
You can find more information about the conference here.
Please feel free to share this with others who may be interested!
