Pink footage on camera traps

Footage is coming out pink. Advise please

That’s when a camera is filming in color mode but it’s  missing an infrared filter.

Can you provide some more context? What camera ? Filming at night ? Some more details.

What it can also be (same thing) is that the mechanical IR cut filter is not working properly on the unit. So the light is enough for daytime, so the software is not converting the image to black and white, but the filter hasn't been able to engage, so you get the pink, which is what color near infrared comes out as when it's not filtered.

A camera that can see in color during the day and see in black and white with near IR lighting needs a physical IR cut filter. Specifically, that is a filter that filters out the near IR during the day (Which causes the pink color) and and removes the filter so that it can see the extra near IR light the camera provides. In addition, the software in the camera will need to convert the night images to gray scale.

That the image is pink says that the software is not coverting it to gray scale, so there must be a lot of light. That means the filter must not be in place, so maybe electric device that controls this is stuck or broken.

Echoing other comments.  Most ilkely failure of movable IR Filter. In my experience, the most common root failure is of the solder joints between the IR filter motor and the PCB.  I think these are hand-soldered, and prone to cold solder joints.  Reflowing the solder on these joints might fix your problem.  See:
