Hi,
I am working on a forest and marine life acoustic device, which is reconfigurable and decenteralised system with low power consumption. Currently, looking for some mic options to work for forest sense.

Hello Rishabh, For microphones with low power consumption you have a few options. You may want to experiment with a PDM MEMS mic from Adafruit. They are fairly easy to use, lots of good examples. Another option if you want to use I2S is this one. There are also some higher end options if you don't need a breakout board and don't mind designing your own pcb. The Infineon IM69D130 is a nice little mic. It has good dynamic range. Same goes for the TDK InvenSens ICS-43434. Hopefully this helps.

Open Acoustic Devices have an external electret capsule microphone coming out in a few months. It uses a sensitive Primo capsule and has an injection moulded mount with an M16 thread, an acoustic vent to make the whole housing waterproof, and a 'dead cat' windshield.
It's designed for use with AudioMoth devices, but would work with any electret capsule microphone input.
Email [email protected] is this is interesting.
