"Sensor Systems for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Monitoring" - Special Issue Invitation

Invitation to submit articles for a Special Issue of the journal "Sensors"

Hello all! Sarab Sethi and I have just opened submissions for a new Special Issue on "Sensor Systems for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Monitoring" in Sensors MDPI.

The call is pretty broad but we’re looking for new technologies/ analysis/ modelling approaches considering:
• bioacoustics, camera traps, eDNA, LiDAR and more
• AI/ML for ecological data
• sensor networks, edge computing, low-power systems
• novel or emerging sensing approaches

We hope this will be a great special issue pulling together the most recent ideas in conservation technology! Submissions now open and closing on the 20th November 2026👇
