North Carolina Zoo has a zoo housing over 250 species as well as conservation projects around the world. They work to protect habitat, understand the needs of endangered species through research, and to thwart the widespread threat of poaching and wildlife trade, all by working closely with local protected area staff, communities, and other leading conservation organizations.
