Have you used this product? Click to leave your reviewPostGIS is an open-source extension for managing spatial data within the PostgreSQL database system. It enables users to store, query, and manage geospatial data within a relational database. It adds support/functionality for geographic objects and spatial functions, allowing the use of vector and raster data alongside traditional tabular information. Some of the spatial operations included are buffer, clip overlay analysis, and proximity queries directly within the database using SQL.
It supports large datasets and multi-user environments, making it possible to manage spatial data pipelines, integrate multiple data sources, and maintain workflows. It also can serve as a backend for other tools like QGIS, GeoServer, and MapServer.
