New Temporary Anti-spam Measures

Due to a very high number of spam posts, we have enabled new anti-spam measures that limit community posts to only those who have earned their Sprout Badge. These measures are temporary until we find a better solution.

Hello WILDLABS Community,

You may have noticed that over the weekend and throughout today we have experienced a tidal-wave of spam posts that circumvented our existing spam prevention measures. While we deleted them and blocked the user accounts, these spam registrations and posts continue.

To combat this, we are temporarily requiring all members earn their Sprout Badge to prove they are not a robot before they can post community content such as discussions, articles, career opportunities, links, and events.

Follow these steps to earn your Sprout Badge.

The steps described in the link above are easy but deliberate and difficult for a robot to achieve. We hope this will only be temporary, as it makes your first post more difficult to create. But we will keep this change in place until we can mitigate these new spam registrations, or implement more simple community behaviour requirements for posting.

Thank you very much for your understanding, and if you are having any trouble earning your badge please contact [email protected]
