SPOTS | Strategic Protection Of Threatened Species
Dear all,
Two years ago I joined the NGO SPOTS as their first intern to help them in developing and using tech to protect threatened species in South Africa.
For me it was the best experience I could have ever wished for, learning to truly love and work for the nature we all cherish. Hoping to share this opportunity and to inspire others we then created our internship programme and managed to have 10 more successful internships in just one year.
The programme is aimed at engineering students, doing their Master's, but it is also open to other fields and education levels. The engineering development takes place at our base right inside the Dinokeng Game Reserve - the same location where the interns will stay as well.
Do you also want to be woken by the call of a hyena or by the warning of the go-away-birds and work on your internship project while having the rhinos and elephants walk past your doorstep? 🐆🦏🐘🌿
