Introducing the first International Conservation Technology Conference
Conservation technology has advanced rapidly over the past decade, unlocking new ways to protect and understand our changing ecosystems. Alongside these advancements has come a growing need for a dedicated space for the sector to come together, connect, and chart the way forward.
That’s why WILDLABS, alongside a coalition of leading partner organisations, is proud to introduce the first International Conservation Technology Conference (ICTC). As the digital home for conservation technology for the last 10 years, we’re inviting our global network of practitioners, innovators, researchers, funders, and decision-makers to come together in person for the very first time in an event created by and for the sector.
With the rich biodiversity of Peru as our backdrop, ICTC will tackle today’s most pressing challenges and explore breakthroughs on the horizon. Over three dynamic days, participants will engage in hands-on workshops, interactive sessions, and cross-sector dialogue. Together, we will share ideas, exchange lessons learned, showcase impactful solutions, and build relationships that will unite and drive the sector forward.

It's very exciting to learn about this conference.
It would be great if the collegues in/from South America could keep us inside the loop of the political temperature in Peru, since April 2026 they will have election for president.

Congratulations to the WILDLABS team on announcing the International Conservation Technology Conference (ICTC) in Lima next February, a significant milestone for the global conservation tech community.
As the organiser of the Global Conservation Tech & Drone Forum (GCTDF) Kenya - 2026, the evolved and expanded continuation of the Global Drones in Nature Conservation Symposium (G-DiNC), I’m excited to see these new opportunities for collaboration emerging [see my July announcement: https://wildlabs.net/event/nature-drone-forum-group-events-including-global-drones-nature-conservation-symposium-expo-g ]
GCTF 2026 will take place 2–6 March 2026 in Nairobi and Konza Technopolis, Kenya, anchored to World Wildlife Day (3 March) and leading into International Women’s Day (8 March). The programme brings together conservationists, technologists, and researchers around drones, sensors, AI, data governance, ethics, and inclusion, all within a nature-first, field-based framework.
I’ve reached out to the WILDLABS team to coordinate and offer support, ensuring that ICTC and GCTF complement one another rather than overlap, strengthening collaboration between the Americas and Africa as conservation technology continues to advance.
Looking forward to working together and celebrating how these efforts can build shared momentum for 2026!
