New Animal Movement Group Leaders

Hi everyone! We’re thrilled to grow this space together and excited to introduce Marianna Chimienti and Muhammad Rais, who are joining Lacey and Talia as leaders of the group.

Hi everyone! We are excited to keep working on this space for the movement ecology community! Marianna (Lecturer in Marine Top Predator Ecology at Bangor University and Communications Officer of the International Bio-logging Society) and Muhammad Rais (Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, Wildlife and Fisheries, PMAS-AAUR, with research spanning the ecology and conservation of amphibians, reptiles, water birds, mammals, and invertebrates) are joining Alex, Lacey, and Talia as curators of the group.

For the next 12 months, our focus is on keeping this community vibrant and connected! We will be hosting casual coffee chats and journal clubs, sharing resources (articles, events, open-access datasets, and tools), connecting across communities and platforms, and creating opportunities for collaboration.

We’d love your input!!

Would you be interested in coffee chats, and are there topics or speakers you’d like to see?

How can this group best support you?

Please feel free to share your papers, news, or resources so we can make this space truly reflective of the community.
