Read moreI used an early version of Earth Blox in 2023 and really liked it. It lets you more easily access Google Earth Engine using predefined code blocks. The developers have created exceptional analysis and visualization tools all available with a few clicks. It could be slow at times (this was one year ago so that it could be much improved), and admittedly, it's hard to tell if that was due to high Earth Engine demand or the software. My biggest issue with the software was the cost. The developers would never say how much; I guess it's expensive. Other free and open-source software, including Earth Engine, are free and do the same thing. There are also paid software, such as ArcGIS Pro, that do the same thing and are likely less expensive. Most other online geospatial software providers show the cost on their sites; at the time of this review, Earth Blox does not. I would recommend it to someone who wants to use Earth Engine but doesn't have time to learn Javascript or Python.
