“Remember You Are Wild” learning session on Feb 16 - with the team behind My Octopus Teacher (Co-creation with the More-than-Human sandbox)

On Monday 16 February, we'll enter into a working dialogue with the Sea Change Project, the environmental storytelling organisation behind the Oscar-winning documentary My Octopus Teacher.

Sea Change Project works across film, education, exhibitions, and marine research to explore what they call emotional ecology: the role of lived, embodied connection in shaping how humans relate to the more-than-human world.

Rather than treating nature connection as metaphor or mindset, this work engages it as a practice with ethical, cultural, and ecological consequences.

Our guest speaker Swati Thiyagarajan, award-winning conservation journalist and nature storyteller, will share how encounters with kelp forests, whales, sharks, and otters point to a simple but unsettling insight:

When we are disconnected from nature, we struggle to make choices that truly matter.
When we remember we are part of the living world, something shifts.

This is amazing! Would love to join, however your event conflicts with the upcoming ICTC for WILDLABS. :(

Is there an opportunity to review your session after the LIVE event?

Thank you for sharing!
