We are seeking a motivated and qualified student to pursue an M.S. degree at Utah State University, focusing on the acoustics of an invasive frog species in Hawaii. The position involves mainly fieldwork but also laboratory experiments in Hawaii.
An annual stipend of $23,600 for two years, and partial health insurance will be covered. Students would be expected to start by August 2026.
Required credentials include a B.S. in biology, wildlife, ecology, natural resource conservation, or a related field; strong quantitative skills; demonstrated writing ability; and competitive GPA; GRE scores optional.
Competitive candidates will be expected to have:
(a) Strong field and/or laboratory experience related to the project;
(b) Ability to work independently;
(d) Evidence of success in previous research projects;
(e) Experience in acoustics, amphibian field data, animal husbandry, R, and island/tropical fieldwork will be considered an asset.
