Job Opportunity: Amazon.ia Program Manager

Amazon.ia: Inteligencia Ambiental, the working name for a multi-partner initiative to produce timely, actionable intelligence on biodiversity that drives effective conservation and restoration across the Amazon, is seeking a Program Manager.

Amazon.ia is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Program Manager to coordinate a multi-partner initiative that is transforming biodiversity monitoring and conservation decision-making across the Amazon. The successful candidate will help lead a growing coalition of research institutions, conservation organizations, government agencies, and technology partners working to develop a pan-Amazonian biodiversity intelligence system powered by AI, remote sensing, bioacoustics, camera traps, eDNA, and other emerging technologies.

The Program Manager will coordinate partnerships, support strategic planning and governance, oversee reporting and knowledge management, facilitate communication among working groups, and represent the initiative externally. The position requires strong project management skills, experience coordinating multinational collaborations, and familiarity with biodiversity monitoring and conservation technologies.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree (PhD preferred) in conservation science, ecology, biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of program management experience.
- Experience coordinating partnerships across NGOs, academia, philanthropy, government, and/or the private sector.
- Knowledge of biodiversity monitoring technologies (e.g., bioacoustics, camera traps, eDNA).
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish or Portuguese (ideally all three).
- Eligibility to work and reside in Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, or Bolivia.
