Collaborate on Conservation Tech Publications With HAAG

If you're a Post-Doctoral Fellow, a PhD student, or a member of the research staff interested in applying your computational skills to support active research publications, please read on to learn about the Cross-disciplinary Leadership Education for Advanced Researchers (CLEAR) Program. We are seeking new CLEAR experts to serve as project advisors, participating in structured reviews for ongoing student projects (~5 hours/week). In return for your constructive feedback and contributions, you will be credited as a co-author on the resulting publication. Your role would mirror that of a conference or journal reviewer guiding students toward higher-quality submissions.

About us:
Human-Augmented Analytics Group(HAAG) is a virtual research initiative that connects online master’s students in computer science with research labs that have analytical, or automation needs but lack in-house computational expertise. Students undertake these collaborations as part of a 3-semester project with the goal of developing and publishing a research tool. This model benefits students by offering them hands-on research experience and benefits labs by providing access to computational support. You can read about our collaborative model in "FAIR-CS: Framework for Interdisciplinary Research Collaborations in Online Computing Programs" which won Best Paper for Workforce Development at PEARC 2025.The CLEAR Program was launched in Spring 2025 with 5 members of the inaugural cohort many of whom will be publishing their first HAAG papers this Fall! We have since grown to a cohort of 15 doctoral and post-doctoral CLEAR participants. We hope to see you in our Fall 2025 cohort.Interested?
