Position Overview
The Ohio State University is looking for a Chair in Arthropod Biosystematics and Biological Diversity. The position will serve as the head of the OSU entomological collection.
The position is endowed and a tenure-track position, and is open to applicants at the level of either Professor or Associate Professor. Applicants with a research program based in public or private institutions, including museums, state or federal collections, or similar organizations are encouraged to apply.
Objectives
- Develop and maintain an externally funded, nationally-visible research program.
- Teach graduate and undergraduate courses
- Direct research and service activities
- Support departmental operation
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: PhD in relevant field. Professional experience with academic research, including developing, externally funding, and publishing research outcomes and with training or mentoring junior scholars.
Desired: Experience conducting research within research collections
