Three months ago, WILDLABS reached a historic milestone by becoming a multilingual platform. Spanish was the first additional language to be introduced, building directly on the momentum and energy of the inaugural International Conservation Technology Conference (ICTC 2026).
Today, we are thrilled to take another step forward by officially adding French as the third language on our site! As our global community continues to grow and has just passed 16,000 members, this update marks a major turning point in our evolution.
What's changing for you today
Thanks to the outstanding work of our technical teams, supported by Octophin Digital and made possible through funding from Arm, the WILDLABS experience is now available in French.
You can now browse and use the platform's core features, publish articles, start discussions, interact with the network, and much more in French!
Please note that some of the more complex sections, such as Courses and the Inventory, remain in English for now while we explore their adaptation.
To all our French-speaking members in Africa, North America, Europe, and the rest of the world: Bienvenue! Your voice, your perspectives, and your expertise are essential to enriching our global community.
To discover all these new features and how to use them, we invite you to read our translation launch article.
Building the linguistic future of WILDLABS with you
The introduction of Spanish and French is just the beginning. Our long-term vision is to make WILDLABS increasingly inclusive, reflecting the diversity of our global community and the languages they speak. However, translating and technically maintaining a platform of this scale is no small feat.
To integrate future languages, we are going to need your help. In the months and years to come, we want to work with you to design community-led efforts that advance this vision. Whether it's translating key articles, validating specific technical conservation terms, or moderating regional groups, the linguistic future of WILDLABS will be built hand-in-hand with its members. Keep an eye out for announcements of how you can contribute to the addition of more languages going forward.
