Sentinel is an AI toolkit designed for wildlife conservation and consists of several components:
(1) a field-deployable smart device connected to satellite, LoRa, and cellular networks,
(2) a backend infrastructure to quickly train and install custom AI models on the edge for a diverse variety of biodiversity conservation needs, and
(3) a suite of user software tools and a dashboard to visualize and act on important information.
Sentinel devices plug into trail cameras to identify species and events in the field as they happen, filter the information of most relevance, and deliver it to users fast enough to act on.
