The Ecosulis Rewilding Tech Challenge

With the aim of advancing rewildling-related technology in the UK and introducing new talent and ideas into the field of rewildling, Ecosulis is thrilled to announce the launch of their first ever Rewilding Tech Challenge. First prize is £5,000 and includes on-going support from the award-winning Ecosulis team. Applications due April 5th, 2019.

Ecosulis is a pioneering environmental business. They have always invested heavily in techology as they look to provide innovative solutions to today's conservation challenges. With the aim of advancing rewilding-related technology in the United Kingdom and introducing new talent and ideas into the field of rewildling, they are thrilled to announce the launch of the first ever Rewildling Tech Challenge, with a first prize of £5,000 as well as ongoing support from the award winning Ecosulis team and hosting of your ideas on www.rewildling.io

Prize Categories

Submissions should fall into one of these three categories: 

  1. Technology that makes rewilding investible
  2. Technology that monitors restored ecological interactions, dynamics and/or functions
  3. Technology that agregates and processes data from multiple rewildling initiatives to add value for all

Rewildling Tech Challenge Rules

  • The Challenge is open to any UK-based individual, team or company willing to collaborate with Ecosulis on the development of rewilding-related technology
  • Technology may be hardware or software, but must be applicable in a practical way to the rewildling / biodiversity / conservation space
  • Challenge end date: April 5, 2019
  • The Challenge will be judged by a panel of conservation scientists, tech-focused professionals, entrepreneurs and investors, and Ecosulis representatives
  • The decision of the judges is final
