Knowing Nature: New conservation technologies & knowledge systems to support the SDGs and post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework 

This UN Knowledge Dialogue/High-Level Political Forum Side Event will explore a set of promising scientific and technological innovations that are contributing to assessing and conserving nature, and can potentially contribute towards enhanced success in achieving SDGs 14 and 15 and the goals and targets to be adopted as part of the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).

The event will bring together leading scientists, technology innovators, and users to discuss AI and machine learning, networked sensors, environmental DNA, restoration drones, lasers and lidar, and integrated systems using combinations of these technologies in terrestrial and marine applications.
