A comprehensive review on biodiversity information portals

Looking for biodiversity data? New review paper has an overview of biodiversity information portals, both global and country-specific 

An article published in Biodiversity and Conservation this month provides a review of globally recognized portals with rich biodiversity information, global coverage, and powerful spatial analysis tools, and idendifies their vocabulary differences, strengths, and limitations.

Limitations outstanding include: vizualisations, digitization of georeferenced information from natural history from across the world, the inclusion of more advanced web-GIS based tools for spatial analysis, development of agreed data standards.
