Global Forest Watch Small Grants Program 2016

Global Forest Watch (GFW) is an interactive online forest monitoring and alert system designed to empower people with the information they need to better manage and conserve forest landscapes. The Small Grants Fund provides financial and technical support to civil society organizations that want to use Global Forest Watch in their research, advocacy, and fieldwork. Eligibility extends to organizations that are non-profit and non-governmental.

The Small Grants Fund (SGF) seeks to promote broad uptake and innovative use of GFW by civil society around the world. The fund provides financial and technical support to empower civil society organizations to apply Global Forest Watch data and technology in support of their work to strengthen local forest management and conservation practices, conduct evidence-based advocacy and campaigning, and promote greater transparency in the forest sector.

The application contains three sections: basic information, financial information, and project information, and you will also be asked to upload your project budget. Each section should be completed in its entirety.

The deadline to apply is February 15th, 2016
