Super Hear-os: Engaging Everyday People Through the Science of Bioacoustics

webinar

Time: Jul 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Join our free webinar with 4 brief presentations on successful case projects that incorporate bioacoustics into hands-on, fun, and educational ways to get kids (and kids at heart!) outside and involved- AND contributing to valuable scientific research!

Successful projects that demonstrate bioacoustics research successfully at work don't always need to be done in a university setting. Incorporating bioacoustics into classrooms, volunteer and community engagement programs, or citizen science projects can be meaningful and have long-lasting impacts on those who participate. They can also curate a love for the outdoors and stewardship of the world around us- starting right outside their backdoor!

What to expect:

This webinar will be held over Zoom. Each presenter will have a 15 minute pre-recorded presentation followed by 15 minutes of live Q&A. Feel free to ask the questions in the chat, and upvote the questions in the Q&A feature.

Zoom version 5.4.2 or higher is required for the best experience. Joining by phone will allow you to hear most of the conference, but to really engage, we encourage you to be able to type in questions.

Register here to join.
