Safora builds solar-powered sensors and monitoring software that detect electric fence faults, breaches, and tampering on wildlife reserves within a minute, giving rangers real-time alerts to respond before a breach becomes a poaching incident or an escape. The sensors run on a low-power LoRaWAN network built for multi-year autonomous operation in remote, off-grid locations, and alerts integrate directly into EarthRanger to fit straight into existing reserve workflows.
Since its first deployment in December 2024, Safora's sensors have logged over 800 real-world alerts across African reserves and farms, including poaching attempts and escaping elephants.
