The portal showcases a variety of open source products created by EU BON members. The portal functions as an online library for manuals, guidelines, factsheets, case studies, policy recommendations and other documents and represents a communication interface between biodiversity researchers, data repositories, interested communities and policy makers. The main goal of the biodiversity portal is to make biodiversity data and information discoverable, accessible and digestible (e.g. by visualising relative observation trends) and to provide also a gateway for citizen science.
