Conservationist.io is an apps platform created by conservationists to bridge existing technological gaps within the field to help solve some of conservation’s biggest problems. The two main apps available now for beta testing are the Collaborative Mapper and Habitat Patrol. Collaborative Mapper lets multiple users interactively map and edit geospatial data, tracking changes and comments in one place. Habitat Patrol uses the most recently available data from Sentinel-2 through GEE for landscape monitoring within the project landscape, utilising AI to detect and delineate land clearing in a wide range of habitats.
