Overview

The UCF Arboretum is an 800+ acre outdoor lab and natural lands program at the University of Central Florida, focused on supporting native communities and providing critical habitats for threatened species like the gopher tortoise, alongside a prescribed fire program to reduce wildfire risk and sustain habitats. Beyond land management, it runs ongoing ecological monitoring and wildlife camera tracking, and functions as a hub for hands-on ecology and conservation education for students.
