The Marine Research Foundation (MRF) is a non-profit research and conservation organization based in Sabah, Malaysia. Established in 2003, MRF's primary focus is on improving our understanding of marine ecosystems and their diverse flora and fauna across Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific region.
MRF conducts research, conservation, and education activities to conserve the abundance and diversity of marine flora and fauna. Their projects encompass a wide range of initiatives, including community-based turtle conservation, research and tracking studies, biodiversity assessment, and the development of sustainable fishery practices. They also provide technical support to organizations and industries seeking to improve their environmental stewardship.
