I am trying to break into the ocean conservation tech world, and would love to hear about your tales of triumph breaking into the industry! Tell me about mentors you’ve had, jobs, certifications, coursework… anything that you feel really helped catapult your career! 

For context, I work in the environmental field but in the aviation industry. After completing my masters thesis on mangrove carbon sequestration, creating my own data using Google Earth Engine and GIS, I knew I had found my passion. I’d love to work on coastal/ocean ecosystem conservation and marine protected areas with a focus on tech.
