As a prelude to AVISONA: 2019 - the workshop on Acoustic Ecology - the CV Raman Laboratory of Ecological Informatics, Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management is pleased to launch the Sonic Data Analytics (SODA) Suite. 

SODA is an endeavour to assimilate global soundscapes on a cloud platform. It calls upon acoustic researchers, sound engineers and hobbyists to voluntarily contribute sonic data. A well-populated SODA will unveil latent information and act as a vibrant platform for collaborative studies in acoustic ecology.

Moving beyond hobbyists and acoustic ecology researchers, SODA welcomes professionals across the spectrum of disciplines for open dialogue and collaboration. For instance, sound engineers may find SODA a haven to create a new mix; electronics engineers may be interested in splitting sonic files into constituent biophonic, geophonic and athrophonic components and the volume of data will enthuse the data analyst.

The current release of SODA (Ver 1.0) is cloud mounted and can be accessed at http://192.99.56.223:8080/dashboard/soda/

SODA Ver 1.1, with analytical facilities will follow AVISONA:2019.
