Sat 2 Apr: Science Makers: Wildlife and conservation technologies

Dear All

I organise a monthly 'Science Makers' event at Cambridge Makespace (16 Mill Lane) and this Sat 2 Apr the theme is wildlife and conservation. We have great talks from 12:00 by:

• Tony Naggs on bat detection

• Mayke de Freitas Santos on drones for multispectral imaging

• Arik Kershenbaum on building (and maintaining) animal acoustic monitoring devices

We always follow up by making something so after pizza (£4 suggested donation) we're going to build some bat detectors in the afternoon and head out to the Cam at dusk. There is no obligation to stay for the whole afternoon.

More info and RSVP: http://www.meetup.com/Cambridge-Synthetic-Biology-Meetup/events/227359402/

If you have an interesting piece of hardware you've been making or would like to make, there are still slots for speakers so just let me know. It's really informal so you can give a 3 min request for help with a project or take us through the technical ins and outs - all talk formats welcome!

Best wishes

Jenny
